SM for MSMEs Strengthens Support for Women Entrepreneurs
How WomenBizPH and SM Are Giving Women-Led Businesses a Bigger Stage
A look at how the Women
Strong Network Hybrid Trade Fairs are helping Filipino women entrepreneurs
reach new customers
Most businesses start the same
way: a good idea, some personal savings, and a willingness to keep going. The
part that trips people up usually isn't the product — it's getting it in front
of someone willing to buy.
Women-led enterprises proudly showcased their local
products at the Women Strong Trade Fair held at the Fashion Hall of SM Megamall
last year.
The Schedule
SM for MSMEs is expanding its
work with WomenBizPH to solve exactly that problem for women-led businesses.
This August, the Women Strong Network Hybrid Trade Fairs stop at SM Megamall
and SM City Cebu, with SM City Lucena and SM City Zamboanga on deck after that.
From proudly local delicacies to globally competitive
designs, the fair is a continuous celebration of women's ingenuity, resilience,
and contribution to nation-building through enterprise.
Not Just a Sales Floor
These fairs are built for more
than transactions. They're a chance for entrepreneurs to meet new customers,
swap notes with other business owners, and find real opportunities they
wouldn't otherwise come across.
Behind every booth is a woman with a dream, a purpose,
and a story worth sharing. Through WomenBizPH and SM for MSMEs, women
entrepreneurs are given greater opportunities to showcase their brands, reach
new customers, and continue building businesses that inspire communities
nationwide.
The SM Megamall leg on its own
draws entrepreneurs from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao — a genuinely nationwide
spread of Filipino craft and regional creativity under one roof.
Visitors can discover a curated selection of proudly
Filipino brands featuring handcrafted fashion, woven textiles, artisanal food,
wellness products, accessories, jewelry, home dƩcor, and lifestyle essentials.
Each three-day fair extends
past retail hours, with business talks, keynote sessions from government and
industry leaders, exhibitor pitches, networking, fashion showcases, and
recognition programs woven in — so participants leave with more than just sales.
Voices Behind the Program
“Women entrepreneurs continue
to drive innovation, create livelihoods, and strengthen communities across the
country. Through our partnership with WomenBizPH, we hope to provide more
opportunities for women-led businesses to gain greater visibility, connect with
more customers, and continue growing,” said Joaquin L. San Agustin, Executive
Vice President for Marketing, SM Supermalls.

“Empowered women empower women.
And when women come together to support one another in business, innovation and
impact follow,” said Mylene Abiva, Board Secretary, WomenBizPH.

This work extends SM
Supermalls' longstanding commitment to micro, small, and medium enterprises
(MSMEs), giving business owners an accessible way to build customer
relationships and reach a wider market through the mall network.

The Stories Behind the Booths
For shoppers, the appeal isn't
just what's for sale. Every booth carries its own story of persistence and
purpose — the work that goes into a handcrafted piece, a homemade delicacy, or
an idea someone decided to build a business on.
Together, women entrepreneurs from different
communities and industries come together to celebrate collaboration,
resilience, and the growing community of women-led Filipino businesses.
Every sale, every conversation,
and every new discovery ultimately supports women entrepreneurs building
livelihoods, keeping local craftsmanship alive, and strengthening the
communities around them.
If you're after a thoughtful
gift, something proudly Filipino, or your next favorite local brand, the Women
Strong Network Hybrid Trade Fairs are worth building into your weekend plans.
